The short version. We collect what you give us so we can call you about your request. We use ad measurement to see which of our ads work. We don't sell your information. You can turn off texts and ad measurement any time.
This policy covers 850securityservices.com, run by 850 Security Services ("850 Security", "we", "us"), a family-owned security company serving Destin, Santa Rosa Beach, 30A and Walton County, Florida.
What we collect
What you tell us on our forms:
- Your name, phone number and ZIP code.
- Your email, if you give it.
- Whether you own the home and when you want to get started.
- Anything you write in a message box.
- Whether you agreed to receive texts from us.
What we collect when you visit:
- Which page you came to and which ad or link brought you here (for example, campaign tags and click IDs in the web address).
- Browser details like your IP address, device type and browser type.
- Cookies from Meta (Facebook and Instagram) used to measure our ads. See Advertising privacy.
We don't ask for payment details, Social Security numbers or alarm codes on this website. Please don't send them through our forms.
How we use it
- To call or text you about your request and set up your visit.
- To check that we serve your area.
- To give you the service you ask for, including inspections, monitoring and support.
- To see which of our ads and pages bring in requests, so we spend less on ads that don't work.
- To keep our website and forms safe from spam and abuse.
- To follow the law.
Text messages
We only send texts if you tick the text box on our form or otherwise agree. Texts are about your request and your service. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to any text to stop. Reply HELP for help.
- Agreeing to texts is never required to buy anything from us.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with companies that help us run our business, and only what they need:
- Our contact and texting system (GoHighLevel / LeadConnector), which stores your request and sends our calls, texts and emails.
- Our website host (Netlify), which runs this website and our forms.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram), for ad measurement. When you send a request, we send Meta your phone number, ZIP code and email (if given) in scrambled (hashed) form, plus browser details, so Meta can match the request to an ad. We never send Meta your message, your form answers or anything about your alarm system.
- The law, if we're required to, or to protect our customers, our team or our business.
- A new owner, if 850 Security is ever sold or merged.
Your choices
- Texts: reply STOP at any time.
- Calls and emails: ask us to stop by calling, texting or emailing us.
- Ad measurement: turn it off on our Advertising privacy page, or with the "Advertising privacy" button at the bottom of any page. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we turn it off for you.
- Your information: ask us what we have about you, to correct it, or to delete it. We'll answer within 30 days. We may keep some records if the law requires it or to finish service you asked for.
How long we keep it
We keep your request and contact details while you're a customer or while we're helping you, and for a reasonable time after, so we can answer questions and keep proper records. When we no longer need it, we delete it.
How we protect it
Our forms send your information over an encrypted connection. Our systems use passwords and limited access. No system is perfect, so we can't promise your information will never be exposed, but we work to keep it safe.
Children
Our website is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
